You may be one of those folks that have decided the price for eggs is getting out of hand. You have decided to buy a couple of egg-laying chickens and have your own fresh supply of eggs. There are starting to be more people that are willing to put in a little work and enjoy the benefits of their labor. Building a portable chicken coop can be a fun task, but it could also be something you wish you had never started.

For city dwellers, there is some hope because many cities are now allowing folks to raise some poultry for their food needs. Once you have built your portable chicken coop, you will be able to continue on and build a water and a feed container for your egg layers. You could use a five gallon bucket for each container. You will need something like a plant holder, which make an ideal bottom for each project.
