I started a new account for my business, I forgot my password. When I went to my secret question it asked for my pet's name. "I don't have a pet" go figure. I must have been half sleep creating that account. I even put my BF's name in the space thinking maybe he annoyed me that day or something. So can anyone tell me how to retreive my password?

Does anybody know what the grey little button with the big, red 'X' is? Is that a secret action that is unlocked by increasing in ranking?

It is advised that when wanting a pet, it is best to adopt at a shelter or adopt one from a reputable breeder. Pet store pets come from puppy mills and buying a pet from a pet store is supporting puppy mills.

But what happens to the pets if the pet store shuts down? Are they put in animal shelters? If they're going to end up in animal shelters anyway, isn't purchasing a pet "saving" it?

My dog is a minituare Schnauzer, but he's really big for a minituare. Well my dogs problem is that he always barks and growls at other dogs, even ones that are twice his size. He can't confront other dogs because there either scared of him, or they get pissed off at my dog. There are only a few dogs my dog confront calmly. I think my dog only growls because he's excited, because once he meets the dog he's very gentle and just sniffs around. How do I fix my dogs problem, I know one way to fix it is to get another dog for him to play with. But my family does not want another dog.
It's hard to introduce him to dogs because people just walk away at my barking dog lol.

i have a m. schnauzer myself, and he is like that too. its a natural thing in their breed. especially if your dog is not used to being around other dogs, like mine. i dont think you CAN actually fix it, maybe just train him. schnauzers really are aggressive towards other dogs anyway, so its up to you whether you want your dog to change or just be ''natural''. i'm fine with my dog just like that. i pretend he's protecting me . :)

The only cat i know to be very social, loving and loyal is the Savannah but its illegal in NYC.

Paige has toned down her theatrical belting of her big number, "Memory," and allowed the faded ruin of her character's soul to prevail in close-up. For all the "covers" of her signature song, Paige's version remains definitive. The video is, by definition, more intimate, not always a good thing: costumes are even more Halloweeny in garish close-up, the cats less cuddly without that all-important interaction, the stage's appropriately midnight lighting transmuted to a Las Vegas neon. And the chorus of cats in production numbers is even clunkier and more amorphous in two- and three-shots.

The one complete newcomer to the cast is the 90-year-old icon among English actors John Mills, a delight as Gus the Theatrical Cat. Sir John and his character show the youngsters how it's done in close-up, largely behind the eyes, abetted by a heart-tugging delivery of his one song. Yet virtually all of the songs are lip-synched, further robbing the video Cats of its onstage seeming spontaneity. It's clearer than ever that Lloyd Webber's music is mostly twaddle, with the important exception of "Memory," which instantly and rightly became one of the genuine theater standards not dependent on context, in the vein of Stephen Sondheim's "Send in the Clowns." On the plus side, most of the Cats characters and lyrics, from T.S. Eliot's 14-poem Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, are far better defined and understood from the video version. --Robert Windeler

I have heard that dry cat food is bad for your cats health. My cat loves dry cat food and only eats a small amount of the wet cat food. I used to give her dry food in the mornings but now I have started to give her wet cat food as that would be the time when she is the most hungry. This morning she woke me up meowing becuase she was hungry and I fed her one of those small tins of cat food and she only ate half. An hour later she still didn't finish it. I gave her a small pile of dry cat food and she ran straight over and ate it. I don't think it is enough food for her to be eating only one small tin of cat food a day (half in the morning, half at night). She is already small and although her weight is okay, she really doesn't need to be any thinner.

Dry cat food is better for your cat. The dry cat food helps to keep her teeth clean. Talk to your vet they will explain all the good things that dry cat food will do.

How do Cats and Dogs know which is cat food and which is dog food?

I have 2 cats and three dogs. One night, I ran out of cat food (the dry type) and my cats were hungry. So since I had dog food only and the shops were closed, I gave them dog kibbles. They're more or less of the same shape and size and are made of the same ingredients - chicken. My cats took a nibble and refused the rest of the bowl, preferring to go hungry than eat dog food. The next day, i got them a fresh pack of made-for-cats kibbles and they immediately dived in and ate up. How come my cats knew what I gave them wasn't cat food?

I also know of dogs that won't eat cat food for the long run (not mine though, cos they're pigs and will eat anything).

It would be good if a pet food manufacturer can answer this question. Is there some special ingredient you put in cat and dog food that makes cats and dogs know which kibbles is who's? Also, nowadays, dogs are eating fish too - like salmon. You can't say it's the ingredient. How come they know the difference?

They don't is the simple answer. I've fed my cat dog food and although she wasn't too keen on it, she ate it. I think it's to do with the density and bulk of the meat. If I mash the dog food for her she eats it. The dog just eats!!!

my friend pet was a cat. It was more of a family cat, but I took care of it, brushed it, and so on, so I called it my cat lol. But I think my first actual pet that I bought was a Green Anole (a lizard if you don't know what it is)

My cat, who is also my baby and has been my little baby ever since he was born. He keeps attacking one of my other cats and leaving wounds on her. I love my cat a lot and he wont stop hurting her. How do i keep him from attacking her without getting rid of either of then or hurting him?

Something like that happened to my grandmother and the neighbor's stray cat. He probably does that because he's a male cat, and a lot of male cats love picking on or hurting the females. All I can suggest is keeping them away from each other.

Go to a local shelter and choose one you bond with.

The person below me also gave you good advice...there are many loving cats on petfinder. You can also find cats on catster.com that are adoptable.

Cats aren't pets, they are family members. Like any family member...they have needs. So, be sure to research them and learn everything you can before getting one. Also, set up a appointment after and get your cat seen by a vet. Every new addition in your home should be seen by a vet to be made sure they are in good health and for shots, deworming, spaying/neutering, and microchipping. If you adopt from a shelter, they are already spayed/neutered, microchipped, give shots, and dewormed all for a very low adoption fee (however, that doesn't mean they shouldn't still see a vet regularly).

Also, you'll want a high quality food for your cat. You want something grainless and without by-products, fillers, artificial flavoring/coloring, and no harmful ingredients like corn, wheat, or soy. Research foods. I recommend Felidae, Merricks, Wellness, Blue Buffalo, and Innova. I feed my cats Merricks.

Take your dog to the vet. It may be sick. On the other hand, you may just have a breed that naturally has a purple tongue. I know there is some kind of breed that does.
