The young dog needs the proper nutrition as well. They have different needs than an older dog which is the reason there are many different formulas for dog foods. There is very little needs to be considered for a pup. The key ingredients to keeping them happy and healthy is proper health care, proper nutrition and plenty of exercise.

If you can't spend the necessary time on their health and well being perhaps you should consider a pet that is lower maintenance. In addition to being unhealthy, a pet that is not properly cared for can become a threat to others around them.
