An Art Form That Many Now Like

To this artist it was easy to create an image of an animal dressed in clothes that a person would wear. It is clear to those painting connoisseurs that this is anthropomorphic art. Paintings that date back to the 18th and 19th century are usually what this artist would restore.

A dog's face would maybe then take the place of a human face in the paintings of this artist. For this Belgian artist who used to be an art restores, his works can be called aristochiens and aristocrats. The way this artist paints his pieces of pugs or any animal for that matter really makes it seem realistic coupled with the clothes and laces they wear.

He is able to blend the colors together so well that critics find it hard to see any different. It is astonishing how the pieces that this artist produces indeed looks like an original ancestral portrait. An idea like this would not be one that the president of the American Society might like to hear.

A piece was auctioned recently in New York by the animal society for fundraising. In an upscale gallery the public got to see the 27 piece collection of this artist. The atmosphere of the gallery was really suitable for his collection.

This artist does not wish for his pieces to be overly out there though according to an interview of him, he also wants it to be different from the other works of artists. The paintings that this artist makes are simply not weird or different but to him it is poetic. It is the people who like being different and need a laugh that usually go out and buy his work.

The royals and the aristocrats of Europe are mostly the ones who give worth to his works. Royals are mainly the one who acquire his works and of course those who are fond of ancestral portraits. A lot of people will be surprised to note that these pieces are the in thing currently.

The places that this artist gets his portraits are flea markets of antique shops where he then restores them and then put on his subjects. A French officer at the battle of Alma in a blue dress uniform with gold epaulettes, sword and an array of medals is more of what this German pointer looks like. Attached to a handful of the portraits he has acquired are family symbols. For the artist he just overlaps the signs with tiny dog bones.

He also immortalized his red cocker spaniel before it died, painting his long nose and softly curling ears onto several portraits of stolid 19th century matrons, who are now forever condemned to anonymity. He confessed that there are people who think it is a sacrilege to desecrate ancestors and so hate him for his work. Yet to him dogs help put people in their right place and they have earned the right to be in his work. Dogs never disappoint you they appreciate you even if you are ugly and stupid. For the artist dogs have good qualities that have other rewards.

A person would spend about $5,000 to $8,000 for a piece of this artists work. A professor of art history at the local university claims that this way of doing art has already been discovered. According to her the works of two famous painters as 18th and 19th century graphic artists and satirists are closely related to what we see today.
