When a person or a family member decides on adopting a dog, there are so many considerations that they need to think. There is also another breed that is often associated with the Greyhound, and it is called the Whippet. They are the smaller version, and they are often used as a vermin or a mouser. Whippets have a friendly attitude towards their owner. We also have the Brussels Griffon. In some areas, they call them Belgian Griffon, Griffon Belge and Griffon Bruxellois. The small physique made them as a mouser. Many people who also love to hunt adopted the English Springer Spaniel. This dog breed is highly skilled in hunting.

Another breed is the Alaskan Malamute that can only be found on cold region of the Earth. In the Arctic, the Alaskan Malamute are working dogs that carry sleds that have heavy loads. Since it is considered one of the means of manual transportation, the Alaskan Malamute can travel long distance pulling those sleds. They can survive the extreme temperature because their coat is coarse and thick. If you are after the smartness of the dog, you can try to adopt a Fox Terrier because they are easy to be trained.
