Question by toto1004: How to convert a standard pet door flap to a locking one?
At the moment we have a standard pet door flap that is held shut with just a weak magnet. We would like to somehow conver this pet door to one that locks and unlocks with a signal on the pets collar. The reason we just don't replace the door with an electronic or magnetic field pet door is because the door is built into a wall and is very difficult to takeout. I've tried searching on google for a pet door conversion kit or anything similar but have had no luck.

If you cannot convert the whole door assembly, buy what would be the replacement locking mechanism for the door that you would like to install and retrofit it to your existing door
