Make Your Dog Look Great By Choosing The Most Appropriate Grooming Brush

There are very specific combs and brushes for dogs, covering the wide variety of both dogs and situations. Think about people- we might use a round brush for curling with a blow dryer and then a natural bristle brush for normal dry brushing, and so forth. Of course, there are people who don't use any brush or comb at all. And there's a word for these people- "Bald."

Below is a quick-starter guide on which types of brushes go with which hair types. If you have a sensitive, vain or conceited dog, nothing is worse than having to take your pooch out on a bad fur day! Either they'll insist on wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses or they'll hide behind every bush and tree in sight!

Bristle Brush

This is perfect for almost all types of dog hair since this brush has very soft bristles that result in less electricity in your dog's hair. The nylon will let the static electricity build up and also allows proper distribution of the natural oil in your dog's hair. It is recommended for dogs that have long hair.

Slicker Brush

This is not good for all hair types since it can destroy dog hair that is sensitive. This however, is fine for curly long haired dogs and also for dogs who shed a lot of hair.

Curry Brush Rubber Types

Just like the slicker brush, this can also remove the dead hair. But isn't as harsh as the slicker brush since it has a round edge tip that polishes the dog's coat. This is very suitable for those with smooth coats.

Pin Brush

For those whose dogs have fine hair or really long hair, you can use this along with the bristle brush since this removes the tangles in the hair and let your dog's hair appear more manageable. This is also best for those dogs with double coated hair.

Using different kinds of combs

The wide toothed comb is usually best for any types of hair. But for those with silky, soft, and fine hair, using the fine and medium toothed combs are best in removing the dead hair and tangles.

Dealing with mats

In dealing with mats and tangles, use a spray tangle remover along with a coat rake or mat splitter.

Hound Glove

You use this glove, slip your hand and use the natural bristles of the glove to brush your dog's hair. It removes the dead hair of any types of dog hair. It also allows the natural oil in the hair to spread out evenly.
