Question by Amzie: What happens to the pets of a person living alone who is taken to hospital?
If there are no family or friends in the area to assume responsibility of them?
By pets I mean dogs, cats etc, not just fish/hutched animals.

I believe the humane society comes and holds them for you a certain amount of time.
